Updates...College Life...
Hey all.
So, here's what's been up in my little world recently. I moved about two weeksa ago, from my SUPER cool single room (Rogers 405) to a dumpy double (Rogers 324). For those of you that don't know, Rogers is the shithole dorm that they stick the lowly freshmen girls in. It has no elevator, no air conditioning and central heat (which means that the temperature of your room is dictated by some bi-polar alcoholic somewhere.) It's either hot as balls or a friggin polar ice cap. But, all of my (girl) friends live here and I really do feel at home..so Im going to quit bitching now. So, yeah, Im at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, WV. My current major is Pre-nursing, but Im taking straight Gen Ed classes, which translates into: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT IM AM GOING TO USE IN MY LIFE, EVER AGAIN. But it gives me some time to make up my mind about what I really want to do. So, here are my classes...****DRUM ROLL PLEASE****
*English 102- Rogerson- English is by far my favorite subject, though due to Rogersons Jesus-hating Nazi ways not my favorite class. Predicted outcome-A but Rogerson is as predictible as a drunken monkey (aka...Bret Moore...McG people you know what Im talking about).
*Creative Writing- Love it.Fun, despite the fact that I do have Rogerson for it also. But that's what happens when you go to a college with a student population the size equal to that of Claysville. Expected outcome-A
*Intro to Spanish- Rinchuiso- I could stay in my room and sleep, or play Donkey Kong, or blog, or something else equally as important and NEVER go to this class again, and still get an A. This class should be titled "Spanish for Dummies" and Rinchuiso is DEFINITELY puttin from the ruff, if you catch my drift!
*Biological Principles and Lab (for majors)- Dr.Seeber- This class is biology for those of us in the school of sciences. IT SUCKS! I hate it and I hope that that building spontaneously combusts. Expected Outcome- C. I have to get a C for my major. I just hope that a C doesnt bring my GPA down too much. I need to keep my 3.5 to get in the honors program.
*Art Appreciation-B.Fencl- This is an evening class from 6-8:45. I like evening classes, cause you go and get it over with all in one day. This is the only class that I havent had a test in yet. B.Fencl is a cool guy, and a lot of my friends are in this class. Expected outcome-Hard to call since we havent had any tests yet, but Im shooting for an A. A B at the least.
*Theater Appreciation-Reilly- You would think that since I have been involved with theater since I was a little kid, and that I had taken Mr. Moore's acting/theater classes all through h.s. that I would be good right? WRONG. I have it at 8 am. I am barely concious. But I got a B+ on the test without studying, so with a little work and No-Dose I shouldnt have a problem. Expected outcome-A.
*Kickboxing- Price- Doesnt start until March 11, cause PE classes are only half a semester. This class is going to kick my ass. Hmmm...Im wearing my Chi Omega letters. No swearing in letters...I wonder if that "ass" counted? Oh well, none of my sisters are around so it's cool. But yeah, Im scared of this class. The guy that teaches it is like, Mr.Baker's long lost brother or something. He's like 60 and freaking rides in bike marathons and stuff.
*Horsebackriding-I dont know who teaches this, but ditto with the starting date. I only have to take two PE's for my major and I was already registered for KB, but one of my sorority sisters managed to get me into this class (it was full but she does work-study in the registrar's office.) So, I guess that I may as well get them both out of the way. BTW, the stables are at Bethany, so we have to ride in the cool WLSC vans...should be interesting.
IN OTHER NEWS...I had my first official Chi-O function last night. I officially accepted my bid, and got my pledge pin and bid-day shirt and everything. I think I am going to have soo much fun with these girls. They are all really fun. I know that there are going to be conflicts, but it is a sorority for crying out loud. Girls are like that, but it has been fun so far. And I get to WEAR LETTERS NOW!! I dont know why that excites me so much, but I just feel really cool with my letter shirt on. However, we arent allowed to buy anything with letters on it yet, cause that is the kind of stuff that your big buys you. But Im buying stuff on ebay and just saving it until after BIG/lil night.
Oh, and I only have 3 pledge sisters. That kind of sucks, but the Delta Theta Kappas only got one girl, so it could be worse.
Until Next time-

HAHA, the Chi-O theme this year is "We are living in a Chi Omega world, and I am not a cookie cutter girl." I think it's kind of cute, but dorky.
